Spin for

No players

Optional. Add names to take turns and keep score; the result shows whose turn it is.

Who are you playing with?
What kind of game do you want?

Family (mixed ages): Prompts that grandparents, parents, and children can all enjoy together.

Anyone can pass any prompt, at every level.

Your own promptsNone yet

One per line, up to 200 of each. They’re saved in this browser only.

Deal from

The wheel holds 32 prompts from your group and level: 16 truths and 16 dares, so every spin is a 50/50. After each result, the prompt that came up is swapped for a new one, so none comes back until every prompt at that level has had its turn on the wheel.

Truth or dare

How to play

  1. Add players if you like. Turns go down the list in order, and “Up next” under the Spin button shows who’s next.
  2. Choose who’s playing, then the kind of game. Each group has its own levels, from gentle to bold, and each level says what to expect. The wheel fills with that level’s prompts.
  3. Spin. The wheel shows the start of each prompt, and the result shows the whole of the one it lands on. To pick, as in the classic game, choose Truth or Dare underSpin for first: the wheel holds only that kind until you choose Both again.
  4. Answer the truth or do the dare, then go again for the next player. If a prompt doesn’t suit the room, New truth or New dare swaps it for another.

House rules worth agreeing first

Groups and levels

Choose who’s playing first, then the kind of game. Every group has its own levels, all written for WheelSpinny, and the page always opens on a clean group. No prompt involves anything to eat or drink, anything risky, or contacting anyone outside the game.

Kids (6–12)

Gentle questions and dares made for children, with grown-ups welcome to join in.

Teens (13–17)

Music, school, friends, and crushes, all kept clean.

Family (mixed ages)

Prompts that grandparents, parents, and children can all enjoy together.

Friends (all ages / clean)

Clean questions and dares for any group of friends. Some ask about school, work, or dates, but nothing goes further than a crush.

Adults 18+ and Couples 18+

Choose these groups only when everyone playing is 18 or older. Their prompts aren’t listed on this page and load only when you choose one of them. The page never reopens on an 18+ group, and switching to Kids, Teens, Family, or Friends clears the 18+ level and any 18+ prompt in play.

In both, Sweet is affectionate and never sexual, Flirty is suggestive but never explicit, and Spicy and Very Spicy include sexual prompts, with Very Spicy the most explicit. No prompt asks for photos, recordings, or messages, involves anyone outside the game, or pressures anyone, and anyone can pass.

Your own prompts

Open Your own prompts under the levels and write your truths and dares, one per line: inside jokes, questions for a birthday, or dares that suit your room. Choose Ours and yours to add them to every level, or Only yours to play with nothing else. If you’ve written truths but no dares, ours fill in for the dares. Your prompts are kept in this browser and never sent anywhere.

Keeping score

With players listed, the Scores tab counts each player’s truths and dares, and the turns they passed. If someone passes, press Pass in the result and that turn moves from done to passed. Pass is there for every prompt, with or without players. Scores are kept in this browser until you choose Reset scores, which you can undo.

Fair turns and fresh prompts

Playing on a video call or across a room

Share your screen so everyone sees the wheel, and spin for each player in turn. Every dare in the clean groups works on camera. Turn onRead prompts aloud, or press Read aloud in the result, so players who can’t see the screen, or can’t read yet, hear each prompt. The Sound button turns the wheel’s sound effects on and off.

All 1,258 clean prompts

Looking for ideas without the wheel? Here is every truth and dare in the clean groups, by level. The wheel deals from these same lists.
